The Oxford Tweed Trail & Glow harness from Bailey and Coco brings the full feature set of a modern dog harness into the Oxford collection. The classic British tweed exterior covers a breathable mesh lining, with a three-buckle adjustment system, a lockable neck clasp for easy on and off, dual D-rings on the front and back, a back handle for control at close quarters, and reflective strips on both the front and back panels. Designed for daily use on dogs of all temperaments, including those that benefit from front-clip no-pull management.
- Lockable neck clasp — no pull-over fitting: The neck fastens with a security clasp rather than pulling over the head. Open both buckles, position the harness, clip the neck clasp, fasten the chest strap. Significantly easier for dogs that resist the traditional pull-over method.
- 3-buckle fully adjustable fit: Three separate adjustment points — neck strap, chest strap, and girth strap — allow independent fine-tuning for a secure and comfortable fit across a wide range of dog shapes within each size.
- Dual D-rings — front and back: The front chest D-ring is designed for no-pull lead attachment and ID tag use. The back D-ring between the shoulder blades is for standard lead walking. Both are rated for everyday use.
- Back handle for added control: The sturdy handle between the shoulders gives a reliable grip point at road crossings, around other dogs, or in busy environments — without reaching for the collar.
- Reflective strips — front and back: Strips run along the front chest panel and across the back, making your dog visible in low light without a separate high-vis accessory.
- Breathable, quick-dry mesh lining: The inner lining minimises heat build-up during active walks and dries quickly after wet weather, keeping your dog comfortable throughout.
Sizing guide
Measure your dog's neck at its narrowest point and the chest at its widest point, typically just behind the front legs. Back length is measured from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. If your dog falls between sizes on chest measurement, size up.
| Size | Neck | Chest | Back length | Typical fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 24–34cm | 26–50cm | 20cm | Small terriers, Chihuahua, Toy breeds |
| S | 30–45cm | 35–66cm | 23cm | Cocker Spaniel, Cavapoo, Jack Russell, Whippet |
| M | 35–50cm | 40–71cm | 26.5cm | Springer Spaniel, Beagle, Border Terrier |
| L | 40–60cm | 55–83cm | 32cm | Labrador, Border Collie, Dalmatian |
| XL | 55–83cm | 71–99cm | 34cm | Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, Husky |
How to fit
Open both buckles fully. Lay the harness across your dog's back to check size before fitting. Thread each front leg through the respective chest opening. Fasten the neck clasp first, then the chest buckle. Adjust the neck and chest straps independently until the harness sits flat with two fingers of slack at every adjustment point. Check the fit has not shifted after your first walk and re-adjust as needed.
