Feeding & safety

Suitable from 8 weeks. Feed as a treat or chew as part of a balanced diet — not as a complete food. These are a richer, higher-fat chew, so feed in moderation and factor them into your dog's daily intake; if your vet has advised a lower-fat diet, bear that in mind. As a natural treat containing bone, there is always some risk of splintering — always supervise your dog while they chew, keep fresh water available, choose a size to suit your dog, and take away any small final pieces so they aren't swallowed whole. Air-dried, never cooked. Best for dogs that chew rather than gulp.

Part of the Anco natural range. See also our Hairy Lamb Trotter (fur-on).

Common questions

What is it?
A whole air-dried lamb trotter (foot) — a single ingredient with no additives, grains or gluten. As a natural product it contains bone.
Are they safe — they contain bone?
As with any natural bone-in chew there's always some risk of splintering, so supervise your dog, choose a suitable size, and take away small final pieces. They're air-dried rather than cooked (it's cooked bones that are most prone to splintering). Best for dogs that chew rather than gulp; if you're unsure, ask your vet.
Which dogs are they good for?
As a single-ingredient, grain-free chew they suit most dogs, including those with sensitivities. They're higher in fat, though, so feed in moderation — especially for dogs that need a leaner diet.
How long do they last?
Longer than a soft treat, thanks to the tough texture — though it depends on your dog. Always supervise while they chew.
