A rich, meaty black pudding sausage that makes a high-value reward most dogs go a bit daft for. Each one is a generous 20cm, so you can hand it over whole as a special treat or slice it into smaller pieces for training and recall — a little goes a long way.

This is a purpose-made recipe for dogs, not the black pudding we eat. It’s built around chicken with pork blood for that classic savoury flavour, with no grain or cereal fillers.

  • High meat content — built around 70% chicken, with beef and pork blood.
  • Great for training — breaks or cuts easily into smaller, pocket-sized rewards.
  • Grain-free recipe — no cereal fillers or bulking agents.
  • A rich, savoury reward — naturally contains iron, as you’d expect from a blood-based recipe.

Feeding & moderation

A complementary treat for dogs, suitable from 8 weeks. This is a rich, higher-fat sausage, so feed in moderation and count it within your dog’s daily food allowance — reward generously, portion sensibly. Always make sure fresh water is available, and supervise your dog with any treat. Not for human consumption.

Storage

Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Reseal or store in an airtight container to keep them fresh.

Natural, tasty treats — hand-picked by Hairy Dogs.

Common questions

Isn’t black pudding bad for dogs?
The black pudding we eat often contains onion and a lot of added salt, which dogs shouldn’t have. This is a different thing — a recipe made specifically for dogs, without the onion found in the human version. As with any rich treat, give it in moderation.
How many can I give?
Because it’s a rich, higher-fat sausage, treat it as an occasional reward rather than an everyday snack, and scale to your dog’s size. Slicing one sausage into smaller pieces makes it go a long way for training.
Are they good for training?
Yes — one of their best uses. Cut or break a sausage into pea-sized pieces for plenty of high-value, low-cost rewards, ideal for recall and reward-based training.
Is it grain-free?
Yes — the recipe is chicken, pork blood, beef meal and minerals, with no grain or cereal fillers.
