DryDogs Fleece Sighthound Base-Layer Coat with Underbelly & Snood

Built for the long, lean shape of sighthounds, the DryDogs Fleece Base-Layer Coat is an ultra-thin fleece that keeps Italian Greyhounds, Whippets and Greyhounds warm without any bulk. A built-in underbelly panel and an integrated snood cover the areas these breeds feel the cold most — chest, tummy and neck.
It's ideal on its own for cold evenings around the house, and slim enough to wear as a warm base layer under a waterproof coat on freezing walks, instantly adding underbelly and neck warmth to your existing coat.
Available in three colours — Grey, Lilac and Green.
- Sighthound-specific fit: Cut for narrow chests and deep tummies so it hugs the frame without slipping.
- Ultra-thin fleece: Warm without bulk, so it layers easily under a raincoat with no bunching or rubbing.
- Built-in underbelly panel: Extra coverage where sighthounds lose heat most.
- Integrated snood: Keeps long necks cosy, with a lead-access hole so you can clip to the collar underneath.
- Easy to put on: Slip it over the head and pop the front legs through.
- Machine washable: A gentle wash inside out, then air dry.
Size guide
Back length is the most important measurement — measure from just behind the shoulder blades to the base of the tail. If your dog is between sizes, size up.
| Size | Back length | Best suited to |
| L | 19–21" | Smaller Italian Greyhounds and petite Whippets |
| XL | 21–23" | Whippets and small Greyhounds |
| 2XL | 23–26" | Larger Whippets and medium Greyhounds |
| 4XL | 28–30" | Large Greyhounds |
How to measure
Back: from just behind the shoulder blades to the base of the tail (the key measurement). Chest: around the deepest point of the chest. Neck: around the thickest part of the neck, for the snood. Tip: lay a piece of string along your dog, then measure the string against a tape.
Materials and care
Soft fleece. Machine wash on a gentle cycle, inside out. Do not tumble dry — air dry only.
