Size

A natural, long-lasting chew made from 100% lamb horn with nothing added. Horn grinds down gradually as your dog works at it, rather than splintering the way some cooked bones can — a satisfying, occupying gnaw that keeps keen chewers happily busy. Choose the Standard size, or step up to the Mega for big dogs and serious chewers who get through chews quickly.

  • 100% lamb horn — a single, natural ingredient with nothing added.
  • Two sizes — Standard, or Mega for extra-durable, longer-lasting chewing.
  • Naturally lower in fat — just under 10% fat.
  • Single-ingredient & naturally low-allergen — a simple option for dogs that don't get on with more complex recipes.
  • Long-lasting — dense horn stands up to determined chewing.
  • Grain-free and free from chicken. Suitable from 8 weeks.

Composition

100% lamb. Analytical constituents: protein 68%, fat content 9.9%, crude ash 7%.

Feeding & safety

This is a very hard chew. Always supervise your dog, keep fresh water available, and feed as a treat alongside a balanced diet, not as a meal. As with any hard chew there's a risk of tooth damage for dogs that bite down extremely hard or try to crack it rather than gnaw it — it suits measured chewers rather than aggressive gulpers. Take it away once it wears down to a piece small enough to swallow, and choose a softer chew if your dog has dental problems or has had a tooth issue before. If in any doubt, ask your vet.

From the Anco natural range, stocked at Hairy Dogs.

Common questions

What's the difference between Standard and Mega?
Same 100% lamb horn — Mega is simply the extra-large size, denser and longer-lasting, aimed at big dogs and serious chewers.
How long does it last?
Horn is dense, so it's among the longer-lasting natural chews — the Mega lasts longest. Every dog is different, so always supervise.
Is a hard chew safe for my dog's teeth?
Horn is hard, so there's always some tooth-fracture risk with very hard chewers. It suits dogs that gnaw steadily rather than bite down to crack things — if your dog is a power-chewer or has had dental trouble, pick something softer or check with your vet.
What's in it?
Just one thing — 100% lamb horn, with nothing added.
What age can have it?
Suitable from 8 weeks, fed as a supervised treat.
