Red Dingo's Classic collar is built around two features that distinguish it from standard dog collars: the Bucklebone side-release buckle — Red Dingo's own design, engineered to be stronger than conventional side-release clips — and a stainless steel D-ring that will not rust or corrode, making it practical for dogs that swim or spend time in wet conditions. The collar is made from soft, abrasion-resistant nylon webbing in four widths to suit breeds from toy through to large.

Available in eight colours — Red, Black, Dark Blue, Cool Grey, Green, Orange, Pastel Pink and Turquoise. Choose your colour and size from the options above.

  • Bucklebone side-release buckle: Red Dingo's proprietary buckle design is built around a double-reinforced locking mechanism that provides significantly more retention strength than a standard side-release. The Bucklebone shape also makes it easier to operate quickly — useful when clipping on and off repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Stainless steel D-ring: The attachment ring is solid stainless steel rather than plated or zinc alloy — it will not rust, discolour, or weaken over time even with regular exposure to water, mud, or salt. A meaningful detail for dogs that swim, work outdoors, or live in coastal environments.
  • Abrasion-resistant webbing: Soft against the neck but resistant to surface wear — maintains its condition through regular daily use rather than fraying at contact points over time.

If your dog is between sizes or has a wider neck relative to their weight, size up. Measure your dog's neck with a soft tape measure and add 2–3cm for a comfortable fit with two fingers of clearance.

Common questions

Which size should I choose?
Measure your dog's neck with a soft tape measure at the point where the collar will sit, then add 2–3cm to allow for a comfortable fit — you should be able to slide two fingers underneath. If your dog is between sizes, go up. The size refers to the webbing width, which corresponds to breed size as shown in the guide above. A wider collar distributes pressure more evenly, which matters if your dog pulls at the lead.
What is the Bucklebone and why does it matter?
The Bucklebone is Red Dingo's proprietary side-release buckle — a double-reinforced design that locks more securely than a standard side-release and requires deliberate pressure to open. This reduces the risk of accidental release compared to cheaper buckle designs. Is there a matching lead?

Is this suitable for dogs that swim?
Yes — the stainless steel D-ring will not rust or corrode with regular water exposure, and the nylon webbing dries quickly. The Bucklebone buckle is also unaffected by moisture. For dogs that swim regularly or spend time in salt water, rinse the collar with fresh water periodically and check the buckle action is clean.
