Take the jolt out of every walk. The Ancol Bungee Dog Lead Attachment is a shock-absorbing extension that clips between your lead and your dog's collar or harness. When your dog lunges, darts or pulls, the stretchy bungee section absorbs the impact instead of your arm — easing strain on your shoulders and wrists, and softening the sudden pressure on your dog's neck and throat.

It's a simple add-on to the lead you already use, ideal for strong or excitable dogs, reactive walkers and anyone who wants a smoother, more comfortable walk. The sprung bungee gives a little "give" that many dogs find far less jarring than a fixed lead.

  • Shock-absorbing bungee: Softens the impact when your dog pulls or lunges.
  • Kinder on you and your dog: Less strain on your arms and shoulders, less pressure on their neck.
  • Works with your existing lead: Clips between the lead and your dog's collar or harness.
  • Strong trigger clip: Secure, easy on-and-off attachment.
  • Approximately 37cm: Measured including the trigger hook.
  • For dogs up to 50kg: Strong enough for large, powerful dogs.
  • Eco-conscious packaging: Supplied in widely recycled and recyclable packaging.

How to use

Clip one end to your lead and the other to your dog's collar or harness, so the bungee section sits between you and your dog. Check both clips are secure before setting off, and check periodically for wear.

Ancol is an established British pet brand, stocked at Hairy Dogs.

Common questions

Is this for one dog or two?
This is a single bungee that attaches one dog to your lead and absorbs the shock of pulling. If you want to walk two dogs on a single lead, you'll want the Ancol Bungee Coupler instead.
Will it work with my lead?
Yes — it clips between any standard lead and your dog's collar or harness using the trigger clip, so there's no need to replace the lead you already use.
Is it good for strong pullers?
It's ideal for taking the jolt out of pulling and lunging, and it's rated for dogs up to 50kg, so it suits large, powerful dogs. Bear in mind it's a shock absorber rather than an anti-pull training aid — it softens the impact rather than stopping the pulling itself.
