Size

Tame tangles and keep on top of moulting with the Ancol Ergo Hedgehog Slicker Brush. Its dual-action head combines soft, ball-ended pins — which reach down through the coat to lift loose hair and ease out tangles — with shorter bristles that smooth the topcoat for a neat finish. The ergonomic handle is comfortable to hold, and it suits all coat types, from smooth and silky to long and curly. Choose Small for puppies, small breeds and tricky areas, or Large for medium and larger dogs.

  • Dual-action head — ball-ended pins for the undercoat, bristles to smooth the top.
  • Soft ball-ended pins — gentle detangling that's kinder on the skin.
  • Helps with moulting — lifts out loose and dead hair, so there's less of it around the home.
  • All coat types — smooth, silky, short, long and curly.
  • Ergonomic handle — a comfortable, secure grip.
  • Two sizes — Small (pad 6.5 × 4.5cm) and Large (pad 9.5 × 7cm).

How to use

Brush gently in the direction the coat grows, working in small sections. Don't press hard or drag at mats — tease tangles out gently, or trim stubborn ones. Keep sessions short and positive for dogs new to grooming, and check the skin for any redness afterwards.

Care

Clear loose hair from the pad after use and keep it dry. Replace the brush if the pins become bent or the pad is damaged.

Common questions

Small or Large?
The Small (6.5 × 4.5cm pad) is handy for puppies, small breeds and tricky areas like the legs and face; the Large (9.5 × 7cm pad) covers more ground on medium and larger dogs.
Does it really suit all coat types?
Yes — the longer pins reach the undercoat on longer and curly coats, while the bristles smooth shorter, silkier coats.
How often should I brush?
A few times a week keeps most coats tangle-free; daily helps during heavy moulting.
My dog has sensitive skin — is it gentle enough?
The pins are ball-ended to be gentler on the skin. Brush lightly, don't press hard, and stop if you notice any redness.
