Ancol Ergo Tick Remover Tool for Dogs

A simple, effective tool for removing ticks from your dog — part of Ancol's Ergo range. It slides under the tick and lifts the whole thing out, head and all, without squeezing or crushing it. How to use

• Part the fur to find the tick and hold the tool flat against the skin.
• Slide the narrow notch under the tick so it's caught right at the base, against the skin.
• Lift and pull slowly and steadily — a gentle twist can help — until the tick lets go. Don't yank.
• Check the whole tick has come away, then clean the tool and the bite area.

This is a mechanical removal tool, not a flea or tick treatment or preventative. To protect your dog from ticks, use a product recommended by your vet. Ticks can carry disease, so if your dog seems unwell after a bite — or if you can't remove the tick cleanly — speak to your vet.
