Life of Riley's Cheesy Training Treats are small, crunchy, cheese-flavoured bites made for training sessions — high value to a dog, easy to carry, and no greasy residue in your pocket. The cheese flavour comes from nutritional yeast rather than dairy, so there's no dairy in them at all.

Handmade in the UK by Life of Riley Bakery Ltd from four ingredients. 100g per resealable bag.

  • Four ingredients — Gram flour, coconut, peanut butter and nutritional yeast.
  • Cheese flavour without the cheese — Nutritional yeast gives the savoury, cheesy taste dogs respond to. No dairy, no lactose, no milk proteins.
  • Mess-free and pocketable — Crunchy and dry rather than soft and greasy. Nothing left on your hands or in the treat bag.
  • Bite-sized — Roughly 1–2g each, so you can reward repeatedly through a session without the portions adding up quickly.
  • Grain-free and vegan — Gram flour is a legume flour, not a grain. No dairy, no meat, no chicken.
  • 100g resealable bag — Keeps well between sessions in a training pouch or a kitchen drawer.

Feeding guidance

Suitable for dogs of all breeds from 12 weeks. Feed as a complementary treat as part of a balanced diet. For training, reward with one or two at a time and keep an eye on the total across a session, adjusting main meals accordingly. Always keep fresh water available. This is a complementary food, not a complete diet.

Good to know: Contains peanut butter — not suitable for dogs with a known peanut or nut allergy.

Storage: Reseal the bag and keep somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight.

Life of Riley Bakery is a small UK dog bakery making handmade natural treats. Hairy Dogs stocks Life of Riley as part of our curated range of natural treat brands. Also from the range: Mini Gingerbread Men and Peanut Butter Bones.

Common questions

Why nutritional yeast rather than real cheese?
Real cheese contains lactose and milk proteins, which plenty of dogs don't get on with, and it would stop the treat being dairy-free or vegan. Nutritional yeast gives a strong savoury, cheesy flavour that dogs respond to just as well, and keeps the recipe plant-based.
Is there any dairy in them?
None. The cheese flavour is entirely from nutritional yeast, which contains no lactose or milk protein. There's no chicken or other meat in them either. They do contain peanut butter, so avoid if your dog has a peanut or nut allergy.
How do these compare to meat-based training treats?
Most dogs find cheese and peanut butter every bit as motivating as meat — some more so. The practical differences are that these don't leave grease on your hands, they don't smell strongly in a treat bag, and they keep well between sessions. Whether they beat a bit of dried liver for your particular dog is something only your dog can tell you.
How many are in a 100g bag?
It varies as they're handmade, but at roughly 1–2g each a 100g bag works out at somewhere around 50–100 pieces — plenty for several sessions.
