Care & safety

Before each walk, check the stitching, leather and trigger hook for any sign of wear, and replace the lead if anything looks worn or damaged — no lead is unbreakable. For strong pullers, a well-fitted harness takes the strain off the neck, and it's safest to keep the lead short near roads and traffic. To care for the leather handle, keep it dry where you can and wipe it clean; an occasional leather conditioner helps keep it supple.

Pairs with the Miro & Makauri Milford collar range. Stocked at Hairy Dogs.

Common questions

Is it all leather?
The handle is cowhide leather, neoprene-lined for grip; the lead body is strong nylon with reinforced stitching. So you get the comfort and look of a leather handle with a hard-wearing nylon lead.
How long is it?
120cm long and 20mm wide.
What colours are there?
Seven: Black, Red, Brown, Blue, Purple, Pink and Turquoise — designed to pair with the Milford collars.
How do I look after the leather?
Keep it dry where possible and wipe it clean; an occasional leather conditioner keeps the handle supple. Check the stitching and hook for wear before walks.
