Which size?

The 40g bag is a handy trial size or a pocketful for a training session. The 250g is the most popular everyday size. The 500g and 1kg bags give better value per gram for dogs that have sprats regularly or multi-dog households.

Feeding guide

Feed as a treat or reward alongside a complete, balanced diet — not as a meal. Sprats are oily and rich, so introduce them gradually, feed in moderation and reduce your dog's main meals to allow for treats. Break into pieces for small dogs and puppies. These are whole fish, including the soft bones — always supervise your dog and keep fresh water available.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and reseal the bag after opening. As a natural product, size, colour and oil sheen vary from fish to fish.

Are these suitable for puppies?
Yes, from 12 weeks. Break the sprats into small pieces for young puppies, introduce gradually as they are a rich treat, and always supervise.
Are they high in fat?
Yes — at 28.2% fat they are a rich, oily treat. That is what makes them so tempting, but feed in moderation and count them within your dog's daily food, especially for dogs watching their weight or with sensitive tummies.
Can my dog eat the bones?
Yes — these are whole dried fish and the small bones are soft and part of the treat. As with any treat, supervise your dog, and break sprats up for small dogs.
Are they suitable for dogs that avoid chicken or grain?
The only ingredient is sprats, so there is no chicken, grain or gluten. As with any new food, introduce gradually.
Can I use them for training?
Yes — their strong scent makes them a high-value reward. Break them into small pieces so you can reward often without overfeeding. They can leave an oily residue on your hands, so a treat pouch helps.
