Life of Riley's Minty Breath Bones are small bone-shaped biscuits made from six ingredients: gram flour, coconut, peanut butter, spirulina, mint and parsley. Each bone is roughly 5cm long and weighs about 8g, which makes them an easy everyday size to portion.

Handmade by Life of Riley Bakery Ltd in the UK. 100% natural, grain-free and vegan, with no artificial additives, colours or preservatives, and a natural 12-month shelf life.

  • Six ingredients — Gram flour, coconut, peanut butter, spirulina, mint and parsley. Nothing else in the bag.
  • Mint and parsley — The two herbs these are named for, and what gives the bag its distinctive smell when you open it. Both are ordinary kitchen herbs and safe for dogs.
  • Spirulina — A blue-green algae used in small quantity. It's also what gives the biscuits their green colour, which is natural rather than added.
  • Small and crunchy — About 8g each and roughly 5cm long. Dry, crisp and clean to handle, so they carry well in a pocket or treat bag.
  • Grain-free and vegan — Gram flour is a legume flour, not a grain. No dairy, no meat, no chicken.
  • Handmade in small batches — Baked in a licensed UK bakery rather than manufactured at scale.

Common questions

What's in them?
Six ingredients: gram flour, coconut, peanut butter, spirulina, mint and parsley. They're grain-free, vegan and handmade in the UK, with no artificial additives, colours or preservatives.
What should I expect from a treat with mint and parsley in it?
A biscuit that smells of mint and parsley, and that most dogs are keen on. We won't tell you more than that. Plenty of treats in this category are sold on what they'll do for a dog's breath or teeth, and we don't think a biscuit is the right thing to make those promises about. If your dog's breath has changed or genuinely bothers you, that's worth a conversation with your vet rather than a change of treat — it often has a cause worth identifying. For day-to-day tooth care, brushing is the approach with real evidence behind it, and your vet or a veterinary nurse can show you how to start.
Can my dog have these every day?
In moderation, as part of a balanced diet. At 12.1% fat they sit in the same range as the rest of the Life of Riley biscuits, and at roughly 8g a bone they're easy to portion — one or two at a time rather than a handful. Adjust main meals if you're treating regularly.
Suitable for puppies?
From 12 weeks. Break one into smaller pieces for a small puppy or a toy breed, and supervise while they eat as you would with any biscuit treat.
