Colour & Width

A classic, smart everyday lead. The Milford is crafted from supple full-grain cow leather, with a neoprene-lined handle for a comfortable, secure grip and a gunmetal-grey trigger hook. Available in seven colours and two widths to suit dogs of different sizes.

  • Full-grain cow leather — supple, strong and smart, softening with use.
  • Neoprene-lined handle — a comfortable, grippy hold.
  • Gunmetal-grey trigger hook — a smart, modern finish.
  • 110cm long — in 15mm and 20mm widths.
  • Seven colours — Black, Brown, Red, Blue, Pink, Purple and Turquoise; pairs with matching Milford collars.

Choosing a width

The 15mm width is lighter and well suited to small and medium dogs; the 20mm is a little sturdier for medium and larger dogs. Both are 110cm long. Not every colour is made in both widths.

Care & safety

Before each walk, check the leather, stitching and trigger hook for any sign of wear, and replace the lead if anything looks worn or damaged — no lead is unbreakable. For strong pullers, a well-fitted harness takes the strain off the neck, and it's safest to keep the lead short near roads and traffic. To care for the leather, keep it dry where you can, wipe it clean, and use an occasional leather conditioner to keep it supple.
