Size

A gentler natural chew for puppies, seniors and lighter chewers. Our 100% natural fallow deer antler is a soft-to-medium density chew — sustainably sourced from naturally shed antlers, hand-prepared, cleaned without chemicals and sanded smooth to remove sharp points.

It makes a great first antler or a kinder option for older dogs, satisfying the natural urge to chew while being gentler on teeth than harder antlers like red deer or elk.

  • Soft/medium density — ideal for puppies (12+ weeks), seniors and light chewers.
  • Gentler on teeth — lower risk of tooth damage than very hard antlers.
  • Supports clean teeth — natural chewing helps reduce plaque.
  • Single-ingredient & natural — low fat and naturally low-allergen.
  • Odour-free & non-staining — clean for indoor chewing.
  • Sustainably sourced from naturally shed antlers — no animals harmed.

Size guide

Size Approx. weight Good for (guide)
Small 40–75g Puppies, small breeds, light chewers
Medium 75–120g Cocker Spaniels, Beagles, Cockapoos
Large 150–220g Labradors, Collies, Bulldogs, larger breeds

Breed is a rough guide — chewing style matters more. If unsure, size up: a larger antler lasts longer and is too big to swallow. Sizes are by weight and length, not thickness.

Safety & welfare

Although softer than our other antlers, this is still a natural chew — always supervise your dog, and remove it if it becomes damaged, worn, or small enough to swallow. Ensure fresh drinking water is always available. If your dog has dental problems, check with your vet before offering any antler.

Choosing the right antler: this fallow deer antler is soft/medium and great for puppies and seniors. For an even softer chew try the Split Red Deer; for firmer, longer-lasting chews as your dog grows, see the Red Deer (all-rounder) or Elk (power chewers).

Common questions

Which size should I choose?
Match the size to your dog using the table as a guide, and pick one too big to fit fully in their mouth. If between sizes, size up — it lasts longer and is safer.
How is it different from your other antlers?
Fallow deer antler is softer (soft/medium), so it's gentler on teeth and better suited to puppies, seniors and light chewers. Red deer is a firmer all-rounder and elk is the hardest, for power chewers. For the softest option, see our Split Red Deer.
Is it suitable for puppies?
Yes — it suits puppies from around 12 weeks with adult teeth coming through, as well as seniors. Always supervise, and for very young or gentle chewers the even-softer Split Red Deer is a good choice.
How long will one last?
Being softer, it won't last quite as long as a hard red deer or elk antler, but it still gives plenty of chewing time — longevity depends on your dog's chewing strength.
Why does mine look different to the photo?
Antlers are natural, so colour, shape and texture vary from piece to piece. Let us know if you'd like us to hand-pick a particular shape or colour where we can.
