For dogs who love a challenge, our 100% Natural Elk Antler Dog Chews are one of the toughest, longest-lasting chews available. With denser, harder marrow than deer antlers, elk antlers are ideal for strong chewers who demolish standard treats in minutes.

Sourced from naturally shed elk antlers, these chews are completely natural, sustainable, and free from additives, preservatives, or artificial flavourings. They’re low-fat, odour-free, and hypoallergenic, making them a brilliant choice for dogs with sensitivities or those watching their waistlines.

Each antler is smooth with no sharp points, helping to protect gums while encouraging natural chewing behaviour that supports dental health.

Hairy Dogs Safety & Welfare Disclaimer

Antlers are a very hard natural chew and should always be given under supervision. Remove if damaged or excessively worn. Ensure your dog has access to fresh drinking water at all times. Not suitable for puppies, dogs with dental issues, or dogs that bite down with excessive force.

Which antler is right for my dog?

How do I choose the correct antler size?

Antler size is best chosen based on your dog’s chewing strength and experience, rather than breed or weight alone. We recommend selecting an antler that is long enough that your dog can’t fit the whole chew in their mouth.

If your dog is between sizes, always size up.

What chewing strength does my dog have?
  • Gentle Chewer: Enjoys light gnawing and tends to nibble rather than bite down hard
  • Moderate Chewer: Chews regularly and can get through standard chews over time
  • Power Chewer: Destroys most chews quickly and applies strong jaw pressure

Our elk antlers are a very hard chew, making them best suited to moderate to power chewers.

Which antler should I choose?
  • Small (40–70g): Suitable for gentle or moderate chewers
  • Medium (70–120g): Suitable for moderate chewers
  • Large (120–180g): Ideal for strong or power chewers
  • Extra Large (180–220g): Best for very strong chewers or larger dogs

Dog weight is provided as a general guide only — chewing style is more important.

Are elk antlers suitable for puppies?

Elk antlers are not recommended for puppies or dogs with developing teeth. We suggest waiting until adult teeth are fully formed before offering very hard chews.

Are elk antlers safe for dogs?

Yes, when used correctly. Elk antlers are 100% natural, low fat, hypoallergenic, odour-free and long-lasting.

Because they are a very hard chew, they should always be given under supervision and removed if damaged or excessively worn.

How long will an elk antler last?

Elk antlers are one of the longest-lasting natural chews available. Longevity depends on your dog’s chewing strength, but many last weeks or even months, offering excellent value.

What if I’m unsure which antler to choose?

If you’re unsure, size up or get in touch. We’re always happy to help you choose the safest and most suitable option for your dog.

Important safety note

Always supervise your dog while chewing. Remove the antler if it becomes small enough to swallow or shows signs of cracking. Ensure fresh drinking water is available at all times.
